Turner Classic Movies has this thing going where they invite "guest programmers" to choose favorite movies and help introduce them, and one of the ones chosen by the editor of Vanity Fair was "The Philadelphia Story," which I love, so I watched it.

When it was over, the editor mentioned that he had seen a theater version several years ago that starred (none other than) Natasha Richardson, and that he had been very skeptical because anyone playing the lead role would have to be good enough to make you forget Katharine Hepburn -- and, two minutes into the play, that was exactly what NR had done.

A nice compliment for Our Lad's Lady, I thought. Wish I had seen it -- but I think it must have been in London.
