Just found this online -- one mistake, though, the movie is based on a novel by Susan Minot.

Natasha's Tears
Even though Natasha Richardsons real-life mother Vanessa Redgrave was only pretending to be dying during the making of their new film, Evening, the actress was still deeply affected by playing the daughter of a terminally-ill parent.

Natasha married to Schindlers List star Liam Neeson says making the movie, based on the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Cunningham, had a profound effect on her.

She says: Seeing Mum lying on that bed, there were times it was very hard to hold it together, because it does make you project into the future and think back to the past.

It made me think of the moment my father was dying, and Im sure she was thinking about when her mother passed away a couple of years before.

The soon-to-be-seen movie, which also stars Dame Eileen Atkins and Hugh Dancy, is unlikely to be described as a laugh-a-minute crowd pleaser.
